Jade and Allie with their speech 'You Matter Most'.

On Tuesday, 10 November our Year 8 Students launched their Mercy Minds Public Speaking Forum.

The idea behind this forum was to give our students a voice to express their views regarding the issues and challenges faced by teenage girls. The cohort anonymously nominated topics that they wanted to be discussed.

The theme of the forum was 'Change Makers' and some of the topics addressed were ' Mental Health', 'Body-Shaming', and 'If You Don't Know Me, Don't Judge Me'.

The speakers showed great courage in addressing their peers and received a Certificate of Appreciation from their Head of Year Mr David Walters on behalf of our Principal Mr Crothers.
