Jewellery - Materials Design Technology

Year 10 Electives

Course Description

In this course students will investigate a range of materials, techniques and processes associated with manufacturing of jewellery, through the use of hand tools, power tools and machines related to the jewellery industries.

This will include joining, finishing and planishing techniques; stone setting; casting; fusing and slumping glass.

Students may work with a range of materials, silver, brass, copper, nickel silver, pewter and glass products.
