Year 10 Electives

Course Description

In this three-period course, students design their own recipes or use pre-planned ones to create delicious plates that can then be consumed and shared with others.

Students will get to work on individual and group tasks to create many different items. New cuisines will be constructed, and there will be an opportunity to try new foods and flavours that might not have been experienced before.

Students will be taught valuable life skills and techniques that are transferrable outside of school.

The course unit will assist students in appreciating and respecting other cultures in their community through the research, preparation, cooking and serving of a wide variety of foods from different cultures.
