Year 10 Electives
Course Description
Creative Engineering is a course devised to set students up for the future.
Students explore many processes and techniques, such as fabricating, 3D printing, laser cutting, electrical building, and coding.
Students will participate in hands-on prototyping and building to problem-solve a project solution. The course incorporates workshop skills with computer-generated modelling using fusion to develop solutions to various mechatronic challenges.
3D printing and laser cutting will be employed to shape and construct linkages, gears, and pulleys to make simple gadgets. Students will design, code, and build mechanisms that automate and improve everyday functions.
This course is a great introduction to a pathway in upper school Engineering Studies.
