As part of the Year 9 Career Taster Program, our Careers Services Team is dedicated to offering students a wide range of career pathway opportunities.
Recently, our College took 80 Year 9 students to the SkillsWest Careers & Employment Expo at the Perth Convention Centre. This event connected students with invaluable information about career options, ranging from university pathways to Vocational Education and Training (VET) and future employment prospects.
Over 130 educators and employers were on hand to provide insights and guidance. Students could engage directly with employers, discussing opportunities in university programs, apprenticeships, traineeships, and emerging job markets.
Students loved this opportunity and shared their thoughts:

“It was an amazing experience to have, to explore different stalls with friends, and being able to see all of the different career paths I could take was fascinating. It put into perspective for me how many possibilities my future holds. An added bonus was that we could get lollies from every stall.
