White Card Opportunity for Year 10 Students at Our Lady of Mercy College

In Week 8 of Term 1, in collaboration with Nara by Skill Hire, Our Lady of Mercy College offered Year 10 students the invaluable opportunity to undertake their White Card Training course, priming them for Work Experience Week in Term 2.

The White Card course is a nationally accredited construction course designed to give trainees the necessary skills and knowledge to work in the construction industry.

It specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required to undertake construction work. It is a useful tool for students wishing to undertake a trade pathway and workplace learning opportunities throughout Years 10, 11 and 12.

Students on the course were engaged and grateful for the opportunity, kindling a keen interest in the construction industry.

We wish to thank Mr Greg Stephen for presenting the course and Nara by Skill Hire for facilitating the course.
