On Sunday, 10 March, we were granted the opportunity to represent our school at the Zonta Women's Group 30th International Women's Day breakfast. We were offered a delicious buffet breakfast alongside leaders from other schools and many inspirational women.
One of the highlights was hearing from the guest speaker, Flight Lieutenant Sue Freeman. She shared her experience of being the second-ever female fighter jet pilot in the British Royal Air Force. It was a very inspirational and humorous speech, which we both found highly empowering, as Sue defied typical gender stereotypes.
We really enjoyed being able to connect and communicate with strong women in our community whom we otherwise would not have had the opportunity to meet.
