Try-a-Trade Construction and Electrical
After the great success of Try-A-Trade last term, the College started this term with another group of students attending two programs at the Bunbury Trade Training Centre at Eaton Community College.
Archie Boyle, Jake Bagetta, Billy Griffith and Tallen Zabajnik attended a 3-day Construction program and Quinn McCosker attended the Electrotechnology Try-A-Trade.
The boys really enjoyed the hands-on experience. It is a great opportunity to learn what it can be like working in these industries.
This week Joshua Knight, Nathan Welsh and Taj Maszniew received certificates for completing the Try-A-Trade program in Construction.
Our Lady of Mercy College Careers/VET Coordinator, Mr Dale Briers says:
The Construction Try-A-Trade program is also an excellent stepping stone to apply for the Construction Training Fund – Construction Pathways Scholarships that are available for students in Year 11.
For additional information on these Scholarships, please contact Mr Briers or Mrs Wilson.
