Administration Assistant
Academic Services  (Full-Time)

​

Our Lady of Mercy College Australind is a nurturing co-educational secondary College for students from Year 7 to Year 12.

​

This Administration Assistant position is an important point of contact for the Teaching & Learning Department and contributes to the smooth operation by providing essential support to the Director of Teaching & Learning. This position also provides crucial services to the students, parents and staff of our school.

​

Tasks may include but are not limited to coordination of relief teachers, providing support with class timetabling, creating booklists, coordination of student OLNA and NAPLAN testing, collating of student reports, reporting to School Curriculum and Standards Authority and any additional tasks assigned by the Director of Teaching & Learning.

​

The position requires a person with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Experience in a similar work environment would be considered favourably.

​

Essential Selection Criteria

​

The successful person will have;

  • A Catholic background or the ability to demonstrate empathy with the Catholic ethos of the College

  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar role

  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills

  • High-level organisational, administrative and customer service skills

  • Demonstrated experience in record-keeping and document control

  • Well-developed skills using Microsoft Office 365 products

  • Ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information

  • Excellent data entry skills with an emphasis on speed and accuracy

  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work

  • Ability to show initiative and take direction within a team context

​

Desirable Selection Criteria

​

  • In-depth knowledge of school administration systems such as SEQTA, MAZE or AoS

  • Demonstrated experience in an educational context

​

Qualifications Required

​​​​

  • National Criminal Record Check

  • Working with Children Screen Check

  • Have completed, working towards, or be willing to work towards completing to CEWA Accreditation requirements. Additional information can be found here: CEWA Limited Accreditation Framework

Hours
 

Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.00pm.

​

44 weeks per year, including one week during each school holiday break

​

Some after-hours work may be required from time to time.

 

Salary Package
 

Level 3 $61,688 – $68,147 (Full-time equivalent)


Award: Administrative and Technical Officers EBA
