Course Description
In the Music course, students are given the opportunity to further develop their understanding of the language of music through the study of 'The Evolution of Music in Film'. Students can explore their creativity and express themselves in a fun and challenging way, both individually and with other students. Music in Year 8 is open to anyone who wants to continue to explore music through listening, composing and performing. Students will gain an understanding of music literacy through technology and traditional notation, as well as develop composition, theory and aural skills. Year 8 Music is ideal for students who enjoy performing and want to develop these skills in a fun and engaging class environment, as well as those who enjoy listening to music and learning about how history has shaped music into what we know it as today.
