This course is an introduction to a range of invasion sports and modified games. Invasion Games are played between two teams, one an attacker and one a defender. The space of one team is 'invaded' by the other with the aim to score a goal or point. The focus with be on skill and transfer of skill across a range of sports such as Viva Sevens, fast five netball, 3 on 3 basketball and more. This elective will provide activities aimed at developing the motor skills, movement patters, and strategic knowledge commonly associated with invasion sports and participate in an introduction to skill learning/acquisition and coaching.
