This course incorporates 2D and 3D sketching techniques, rendering and design skills. Students explore the elements and principles of design to develop creative design solutions. Final concepts may be developed into prototypes using possible applications such as laser cutters or 3d printers i.e. additive and subtractive manufacturing. Students examine sources of materials and sustainability issues.
Students start with a set of skill activities leading to project development and then an introduction to basic 2D and 3D drawing and CAD to model the final product.
