
Year 7, 2027 Academic Scholarships and Bursaries
The College encourages Academic endeavours by offering Academic Scholarships to Year 7 students. In addition, the College seeks to assist families (on a needs basis) in their endeavours to access Catholic Education through the provision of College Bursaries.
Academic Scholarships:
Academic Scholarships are available to students entering Year 7 in 2027. All applicants are required to sit a scholarship examination on Saturday 16 May 2026, from 8:20 am to 12:30 pm. A copy of the most recent school report must be included with the application.

College Bursaries:
College Bursaries are open to students entering Year 7 in 2027. These Bursaries are offered by the College to assist families with some of the costs associated with starting at the College and are only available for one year. They are available to families facing financial hardship due to a change in circumstances and/or who are not eligible for an HCC card or concessions.
All families applying for a College Bursary must complete an application form. Families will then be contacted by a College representative to arrange a meeting with members of the Executive Team to discuss the application.

Applications for the Year 7 2027 Scholarships and Bursaries open on Thursday 2 April 2026, and close on Friday 8 May 2026.
Scholarship and Bursary Conditions:

All the Scholarship holders and Bursary recipients are expected to display ongoing commitment to their studies as well as show evidence of our Mercy values of Compassion, Respect, Hospitality, Service, Courage and Justice in every aspect of their life.

The College reserves the right not to award any or all of the Scholarships and Bursaries available.

The cost of books, stationery, uniforms, plus all other charges such as camps or overseas trips are not included in the Scholarship or Bursary.

The Scholarship or Bursary will be considered with any sibling discounts or special arrangements.

Scholarship and Bursary holders are expected to maintain a high level of commitment to the whole school program. This includes school attendance, being a positive influence in all classes, completion of work, excellent citizenship, wearing the uniform correctly, attendance at school functions, active contribution to the co-curricular house and voluntary school activities and doing his/her best at all times.

The family agrees to fully abide by the rules and conditions at Our Lady of Mercy College as outlined in its Code of Conduct and policies.

Acceptance of the Scholarship or Bursary is required within ten business days of the offer being made.

The offer of the Scholarship or Bursary is conditional upon the acceptance of a place at the College.
First Nations Scholarships/Bursaries:
2027 MADALAH First Nations Bursaries
The College is committed to providing educational opportunities to First Nations students from Years 7-12 by partnering with MADALAH.
MADALAH Limited is a not-for-profit organisation that offers secondary and tertiary education scholarships for First Nations students throughout WA.
The scholarship is awarded annually by MADALAH, based on available funding, and is provided for the students’ time at the College.
