We are proud to celebrate Year 7 student Max, who was recently recognised by the Shire of Harvey for his quiet yet powerful act of integrity and care for the local community.

When a sign near the old water tank on Myalup-Harvey Road, marking the 10th Light Horse Bridle Trail, was defaced with graffiti, Max didn’t hesitate. Without being asked, he took it upon himself to clean the sign. No fuss, no attention, just a genuine desire to do the right thing.

Max was formally acknowledged by Shire President Michelle Campbell last week, who praised his actions as a shining example of true community spirit. His initiative and sense of responsibility reflect the very Mercy values we try to live out every day at Our Lady of Mercy College.

Thank you, Max, for showing us what quiet leadership and care for others looks like.
