Year 10 Takes on a Week of Outdoor Adventure

A highlight of Term 3 for our Year 10 students is the Outdoor Adventure Camp, and this year was no exception.
Across two groups at the end of August and beginning of September, our Year 10 cohort headed down south for a week of adventure, teamwork and time in the great outdoors. Students took on a range of activities including hiking, kayaking and cooking, while evenings around the campfire provided plenty of time to relax and enjoy each other’s company.
For many students, the camp is one of the highlights of their time at the College. It is an opportunity to step outside their usual routines, challenge themselves, try something new and build stronger friendships along the way.
Head of Year 10, Mr Basson, was very proud of the cohort and the way students embraced the challenges and opportunities that camp presented.
The importance of the experience was highlighted during our recent Year 12 final week assembly, when several students reflected on their own Year 10 Outdoor Adventure Camp and the impact it had on their time at the College. It is experiences like these that students continue to talk about long after they have returned home.
Well done to our Year 10 students for making the most of their week down south and embracing everything the Outdoor Adventure Camp had to offer.
