On Saturday evening, 7 February, members of our College staff attended the annual Commissioning Mass at Christ the Living Church, a meaningful tradition that marks the beginning of the school year and our shared mission as an educational community.

During the Mass, Father Roshan formally welcomed our new staff, inviting them into both the College and parish community. The celebration provided a special opportunity for staff to come together in faith and gratitude, surrounded by the wider parish community.

As a College, we are delighted to welcome a number of new teachers and support staff, each bringing a wealth of professional experience and a genuine commitment to student learning and wellbeing. Our new staff will be supporting students across a range of areas, including Information Technology, Science and Education Support, and will play an important role in nurturing academic excellence and pastoral care.

Vice Principal Maree Maughan reflected on the significance of the occasion, saying:

“The Commissioning Mass is a powerful reminder that our work as educators is a vocation. We are blessed to welcome staff who bring not only experience and expertise, but also compassion, faith and a shared commitment to the holistic development of every student.”

We are grateful for the opportunity to begin the year together and we look forward to the positive impact our new staff will have on the lives of our students and families.
