We’re proud to have two Our Lady of Mercy College projects nominated in the 2026 Catholic Education Western Australia Awards.
The awards recognise the great work happening across Catholic education in WA, and we would love our community to get behind our two nominations.
Connections Through Country – First Nations Artwork
Developed in collaboration with local Noongar Elders Basil and Val, this project celebrates the connections between our College community, Country and the waterways and communities of our region.
Students and staff learnt about Noongar art techniques, took part in yarning sessions and worked together to create six landscape panels representing the unique features of our region. The completed artwork, along with a bilingual Acknowledgement of Country panel, is now proudly displayed at the College.

Year 7 Mercy Ambassadors
Our Year 7 Mercy Ambassadors Initiative gives students the opportunity to step into leadership and live the Mercy values through service, faith and action.
Established in 2026, the initiative supports our newest students as they settle into secondary school while encouraging them to contribute to the wider College community through activities, fundraising and acts of service.
