Students have been eager to visit the library this term, making the most of our games, enjoying a wide range of reading materials, and spending time socialising with friends during lunchtime.

One activity that has quickly become a favourite is chess. Due to the growing enthusiasm from students across all year groups, we recently introduced our Library Chess Club, which now meets every Tuesday and Thursday at lunchtime.

The club has created a fun and welcoming environment where students can challenge one another in friendly matches, develop their strategic thinking skills and connect with students from different year groups.

A regularly updated leaderboard keeps the excitement high, with many students eager to climb the rankings and discover who their next opponent will be.

It has been fantastic to see so many students getting involved and we look forward to watching the competition continue throughout the term.

If students have any questions or would like to get involved, please do not hesitate to see Mrs MacLean in the Library.
