On Thursday, 27 May students of Our Lady of Mercy College competed in the first round of debating in the Western Australian Debating League competition. This year, the competition looks slightly different, with technology playing a big role.
Students participated via Zoom and competed against Bunbury Senior High School, Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School and Great Southern Grammar in Albany.
We managed to come away with three victories which was very exciting for our novice team, who debated for the first time, and for our team of three champions who are defending their title.
