Join us in celebrating the fantastic achievements of Taya Larkman (Year 12), who was recently honoured with the 2023 Shire of Harvey Youth Award at the Annual Community Awards presentation!
Taya's tireless efforts as a volunteer and active member of various organisations have earned her this well-deserved recognition. Since joining the Harvey Shire Youth Collective in 2021, Taya has been an integral part of their initiatives. She has also demonstrated exceptional leadership skills as a school leader, serving as the Captain of the Collie Swimming Club and previously as Captain of the Australind Swimming Club. Moreover, Taya currently holds the position of Service Captain at the College.
Beyond her commitment to these roles, Taya actively contributes to community events such as the Breakfast Club, The Mercy Justice team, and provides guidance and mentorship to her fellow swimmers. She's been an enthusiastic participant in events like YouthChella, Bunbury Eisteddfod, Give-a-damn Give-a-can, St Vinnies, and has also played an active role in fundraising activities across different clubs.
Taya's genuine willingness to lend a hand wherever needed is truly inspiring, always accompanied by her friendly and positive attitude.
