Frayne House celebrated their House Day this term with an assembly and fun activities.

During the assembly, Mrs Reimers recognised students’ efforts and achievements by presenting merit certificates and PCG awards. This was a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of students across the House.

The following PCG awards were presented:

  • House Spirit (The Swan) – Least uniform infringements: Frayne 2, Mrs Bylund

  • Unity Flame – PCG togetherness: Frayne 3, Mrs McMahon

  • Cross of Values – Embodying Mercy values: Frayne 1, Mrs Ingram

Afterwards, students enjoyed the sunshine together with games of footy, basketball and beach volleyball.

The Frayne crest serves as a reminder of the values that unite the House. It features three important symbols:

  • The Celtic Cross – placed at the centre of the crest, representing that Jesus is at the heart of all we do, while also honouring Ursula Frayne’s Irish heritage.

  • The Black Swan – native to Western Australia, symbolising both our location and Sr Ursula’s arrival in 1846 to establish the Sisters of Mercy in Perth.

  • The Flame of Faith – forming the backdrop of the crest, representing the Holy Spirit and the guiding presence of Jesus in our lives.

Together with the House motto “Leadership, Faith and Friendship”, the crest reflects the enduring qualities of Sr Ursula Frayne, a resourceful and pioneering figure in Catholic education in Western Australia.
