Students Share Their Passion for Science at STEM Showcase
Four of our Science students proudly represented the College at the STEM Showcase held at Bunbury Catholic College earlier this term. Eloise, Fransceska, Marnie and James put their own time, creativity and enthusiasm into creating engaging exhibits for visiting primary school students.
James explored the fascinating world of bees, sharing his knowledge about the important role these pollinators play in healthy ecosystems and global food production. His exhibit featured digital games, informative displays and plenty of opportunities for students to learn more about bees and why protecting them is so important.
The girls brought the human digestive system to life with a hands-on activity that allowed primary students to simulate how nutrients are absorbed through the small intestine. It was certainly one of the messier displays of the day, but also one of the most popular, with plenty of laughter and curiosity from the visiting students.
Both exhibits were entirely student-driven, with our exhibitors giving up their own time to research, design, build and refine their displays. It was fantastic to see them share their passion for Science and engage so enthusiastically with the younger students.
Congratulations to Eloise, Fransceska, Marnie and James on their outstanding efforts. They were wonderful ambassadors for our College and showed great initiative, teamwork and a genuine passion for inspiring the next generation of scientists.
