As part of the Year 9 Career Taster Program, our Careers Services Team aims to provide our students with opportunities that suit a range of different career pathways.
Our College recently took 47 Year 9 students to the Sport and Stephen Michael Foundation Career Taster at South Regional TAFE. This opportunity provided students with an insight into what it is like to study at TAFE and what the sports industry might offer them in the future.
This taster experience assisted the students in gaining an understanding of the importance of communication and working within a team environment. It was fantastic to see Ijah, Max, and Toby work with the students to engage in leadership activities.
Students loved this opportunity to learn from the Stephen Michael Foundation team.
Students who attended commented:

I thought the sports excursion was a good opportunity to learn about what opportunities TAFE and the Stephen Michael Foundation had to offer – Abbie Dudek.
We want to take this opportunity to thank Tish from South Regional TAFE and Ijah Coyle, Max Bilcich, and Toby Prunty from the Stephen Michael Foundation for all their efforts.
