Asha Werth has had an interest in caring for young children for some time. During the Year 10 Work Experience week, Asha Werth attended a placement at Riverlinks Child Care Centre under manager Sonya Stone-Farrugia. During this time, Asha received positive feedback from supervising staff, commending her on her willingness to learn, interaction with the children, her ability to complete tasks, and being a valuable addition to the team.
This feedback proved worthy as Riverlinks were actively looking for a new Trainee at the time of Asha’s placement, and within a matter of weeks, discussions were taking place to offer Asha a Traineeship. Asha signed her School-based Traineeship with The Apprenticeship Community and Riverlinks Child Care Centre on 13 October 2022. She will be combining a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with her studies at Our Lady of Mercy College and attending the workplace for two days a week.
The future is bright for Asha, and we are grateful to Sonya and the team at Riverlinks for their support. We look forward to following Asha’s progress as she works towards a Nationally Recognised Qualification and gaining real-world experience.
