Outstanding Achievement at WA Military Junior Leadership Camp

Year 9 student, Archer King was one of 74 Australian Army Cadets who were selected to participate in the Military Junior Leadership Camp at WA's Australian Defence Force Headquarters, Irwin Barracks, during the past school holiday break.

The leadership camp was 8 full-on days of practical learning in navigation, radio communications, first aid, military-style leadership and instruction training. Archer adapted to life away from home but also made a lasting impression on the senior military leadership group and made lifelong friends along the way.

On the final day of the camp, Archer was awarded AAC Bronze Commendation, the only one presented to the 74 cadet candidates in attendance. This award was presented by Colonel Natalie Wigg, the Colonel in-charge of training for the 13th Brigade.

As a school community, we are very proud of Archer’s achievement and congratulate him on being personally recognised for his dedication and leadership throughout the week.
