In Week 3 of this term, the Year 11 Certificate II Outdoor Education class took their mountain biking skills to the next level with an excursion to the Margaret River mountain bike trails. They were guided by Connor Wright, a Western Australian Institute of Sport cyclist and one of the country’s top young riders.
Connor is the 2025 U19 Oceania MTB Champion, 2025 Dual National Champion, and has held the Australian XCO and XCC National Champion titles for six consecutive years. His expert knowledge assisted students with their riding, providing tips and useful information to help them improve.
Students enjoyed riding the trails and were able to apply the skills they had developed during their Outdoor Education classes to the more challenging terrain of the larger trails.
