Nourishing Minds and Bodies with Happy When Fit


Earlier in Term 4, Danae from Happy When Fit visited the College to inspire our students with her passion for nutrition and sports performance. Danae shared how understanding the power of food transformed her perspective—not just as fuel for physical performance but as a way to do well in life.


She spoke about the importance of carbohydrates for energy, the role of macronutrients, and how a healthy diet can positively impact sports performance, recovery, mental health, and more. Danae also reflected on her own journey, wishing she had learnt about food from an empowering perspective at their age, rather than through diet culture.


Through the Happywhenfit Healthy Schools Program, Danae is helping students see nutrition as a powerful tool to support their goals, whether on the field or in the classroom.
