On Monday, 13 October, the College was delighted to welcome a group of residents from Edenlife Australind, accompanied by Community Manager Samantha Bell.

Located just across the road on Leisure Drive, Edenlife Australind is a vibrant lifestyle community for over-50s, and we’ve long shared a friendly bond as neighbours. This visit was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen that connection and share a behind-the-scenes look at the College.

Director of Ministry and Community, Mrs Karyn Cronin, and Principal, Mr Vince Bellini, led the visitors on a tour of the College grounds. The group enjoyed exploring our learning centres, including our commercial cooking facilities, metal and wood technologies rooms, gymnasium, drama and dance spaces.

A highlight of the afternoon was meeting local elder and artist, Mr Basil Hart, and elder Nana Val, who were in the Visual Arts room collaborating with staff on a special community art project. The six-piece artwork celebrates the connection between the College, the wider community and the local waterways.

The visit concluded with a relaxed afternoon tea in the staff room.

We look forward to continuing to build on our friendship with the residents of Eden Life.
