Congratulations to Mia, Shylah and Brooklyn for winning gold medals in the Cheerleading Aussie Gold State Championships recently.
Cheerleading is a popular team sport in which elements of dance, tumbling, gymnastics and acrobatics are combined.
The girls represented Bunbury Cheerleading and Dance Studio Toxic Cheer with their senior team, the Diamonds.
When asked what they like most about this sport, all girls said they enjoy making new friends and learning different stunts and tumbles. They said that some of the stunts can be pretty difficult to learn and require teamwork and trust.
The girls had a great time at the championship in Perth and are looking forward to competing in many more Cheerleading events in the future.
