Mercy Dance and Music Students Shine at Catholic Performing Arts Festival

In Week 4 of Term 3, our arts students proudly represented Our Lady of Mercy College at the Catholic Performing Arts Festival, marking our first year of participating in the festival.
Our Dance Troupe performed at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre alongside schools from across Western Australia, delivering an energetic performance and gaining valuable experience on a professional stage.
On the second day students visited WAAPA - The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and were lucky enough to tour the dance department and watch a few dance classes.
A big thank you to Mrs Germs, Mr Gledhill, Ms Princi and Miss Doyle for preparing and supporting our dancers.
The following day, six of our vocal students represented Our Lady of Mercy College in the Vocal Solo section at Newman College.
Our students performed with confidence and received excellent feedback and constructive critiques from the adjudicator. They also enjoyed watching the incredible talent from other schools.
A special thank you to Mrs Tudor for coordinating our festival entries and to Miss Kataini for accompanying our students so capably on piano. We are incredibly proud of all our performers and look forward to building on this success in the future.
