McAuley wins Language and Culture Quiz during Languages Week

How do you say “See you tomorrow” in Italian?

How many islands are there in the Indonesian archipelago?

Where does the word Australia come from?

If you knew all the answers, you would have had a good chance to win the first edition of the Our Lady of Mercy College Language & Culture Quiz.

This event was one of the highlights held at the College to celebrate Languages Week and was reserved to the Year 7 and 8 Homerooms. For three days during homeroom, students were challenged to respond to a range of questions and, unsurprisingly, they showed great knowledge.

McAuley 3, led by our Doctor Arthur, stood out in a very tight competition and ensured victory. What was the reward? A succulent lunch organised by our Languages teachers: Pizza and Indonesian delicacies were on the menu to celebrate this great achievement.

Well done, McAuley 3!
