Would you like to have a say in initiatives that benefit our students and strengthen our school community?

We warmly invite parents and caregivers to join our Parents & Friends (P&F) group.

Our P&F plays an important role in strengthening connections between families, staff and the wider school community. Through community events and collaborative projects, the P&F helps create opportunities that enhance the experience of our students while supporting the College’s vision and values.

What does being part of the P&F involve?

Being part of the P&F is a rewarding way to contribute to school life without requiring a large time commitment.

The group meets four times each year, with light refreshments provided. Meetings provide an opportunity for members to share ideas and help decide how P&F funds can best support projects, resources and opportunities for our students and school community.

There are also opportunities to get involved in additional activities throughout the year, such as sausage sizzles and other school projects. Families can contribute as much or as little as their time allows.

What has the P&F helped support?

Some recent projects and initiatives supported by the P&F include:

• Year 9 FIRST LEGO League STEM Elective – robotics kits, competition entry fees and teacher resources.

• Chess and games resources – chess timers for tournaments and practice, storage bags, new games and additional chess sets.

• Library resources – two rotating bookshelves, each capable of holding approximately 180 books, improving access to manga and other popular books.

• Textiles Elective – funding towards establishing the elective, including sewing machines, overlockers, tools, consumables such as pins, thread and materials, and storage cabinets for equipment.

• Year 12 Graduation – graduation sashes for students.

Whether you are new to the College or have been part of our community for years, your ideas, perspectives and involvement are welcome.

Joining the P&F is a great way to meet other families, stay informed about what is happening within the school and make a positive contribution to opportunities for our students.

Our next P&F meeting is Tuesday 3 November at 6:00 pm in the Learning Commons (Library). We would love to see you there!
