After resolving some planning matters, Development Approval for the College Gymnasium and additional classrooms has now been received.
The College anticipates that the building permit will be issued around the 22 May.and that the builder will be able to commence work in late May or early June with a completion date likely to be the end of Term 1 in 2021.
The construction site will adjoin the current pick up/set down slip road and bus bays and possibly impact upon traffic flow from time to time. A new slip road and pick up/set down facility is to be constructed at the rear of the College to help ease some of the possible congestion.
The downstairs area of the Gymnasium comprises a full-size basketball court, change rooms, staff offices, dance studio, weights room, storage facilities, drama studio and raised stage area. The upstairs area includes six classrooms, staff offices, student toilets and a large breakout area.
Students and staff are excitedly awaiting for the first signs of construction to appear.
