Exciting News from the Careers Department

Tanai Shedley and Riley Coulson (Year 11)

Congratulations to Tanai and Riley for completing the Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start). They completed the course by attending Bunbury Regional Trade Training Centre.

The course provided them with industry specific training that will assist them if they decide to enter into an apprenticeship in the electrotechnology industry. Both students have also completed an industry placement with Holman Electrical Services.

As part of the workplace learning program, Tanai recently joined the Water Corporation to learn about site operations with the technical maintenance team in Bunbury. He has had the opportunity to visit a number of Water Corporation sites to learn about electrical control systems and equipment maintenance and repair.

Tanai hopes to gain an electrical apprenticeship in the future. He has used the Year 11 workplace learning program to spend time with companies throughout the year. Being able to spend time with the Water Corporation in the South West region has provided him with a unique opportunity to learn about industrial electrical systems.

The College would like to thank Holman Electrical services and the Water Corporation for providing Riley and Tanai with these valuable learning opportunities.
