End of Term Message from Principal Rob Crothers

Today is my last day at Mercy with the students, and it's been such a joy to walk around and see what they’re doing and have the chance to have final chats with them. I just think they're a lovely group of students, and I'm really going to miss them next year. I wish each and every one of them all the best as they move forward into their bright futures.

My time at Our Lady of Mercy College has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I have cherished every moment spent with our staff, students, and supportive parents. The sense of community and commitment to excellence here is unparalleled.

Working in education has always been my passion, and being part of this wonderful school has been a highlight. I am incredibly proud of our achievements and the positive impact we have made on our students’ lives.

I want to express my gratitude for your support, kindness, and collaboration over the years. It has been an honour to serve as your Principal, and I will always hold Our Lady of Mercy College close to my heart.

A special thank you to my wife, Tess, for her support throughout my career. As an Early Childhood teacher and a dedicated mother to our five children, Tess has been my rock, always generously allowing me the time and space to dedicate myself fully to teaching, planning, professional growth, and leading this wonderful school community.

As we approach the festive season, I take this opportunity to wish you all a joyous and peaceful Christmas. May it be a time of love, reflection, and celebration with your loved ones. May God continue to bless the endeavours of every student, parent, and staff member who make the Our Lady of Mercy College community so extraordinary.

Merry Christmas and thank you for the cherished memories.

Rob Crothers
