Visual Arts Technician
(0.52 FTE, Ongoing, 3 Days)
We are seeking a skilled, organised and student-focused Visual Arts Technician to support the effective operation of our Visual Arts Department.
The Role
This is a hands-on and highly valued support role, contributing to the delivery of engaging and well-prepared learning experiences across a range of visual arts disciplines.
The successful applicant will play a key role in maintaining safe, organised and inspiring learning environments, supporting both staff and students in practical classroom settings.
Your responsibilities will include:
Prepare materials, tools and equipment for classes and student projects
Assist teachers and students during practical lessons where required
Maintain and organise workshop spaces, classrooms and storage areas
Clean, maintain and monitor equipment to ensure safe operation
Support a range of artistic processes, including woodwork, ceramics, mixed media and painting
Assist with emerging art technologies and contemporary practices
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
Undertake additional duties as directed by the Principal
