With Wimbledon underway and the Tokyo Olympics only a few weeks away, we are guaranteed to be entertained and enthralled by athletes from around the world as they compete in the various events.
Regardless of their overall finishing place, athletes focus upon achieving a "PB" - their personal best.
I shared recently with the College that I regularly see our students endeavouring to achieve their very own "PB". So many of our students are constantly challenging themselves and striving to improve themselves. This improvement focus requires them to take risks, make themselves vulnerable and at times fail in their initial efforts. These are critical challenges that must be faced as they seek to transform from a young boy or girl into a young man or lady.
In recent weeks, students have engaged in various experiences, including Cross Country, Dance, Music & Drama Eisteddfod, Exams, Retreats and Subject Selection for Year 10 students. It was a pleasure to be able to thank the students for their efforts. I congratulated them when they rose to the challenges placed in front of them and when they made a genuine effort to give their best.
Our positive mindset encourages us to focus upon "I can" rather than "I can't". Our students have done this so well during Term 2!
