Corporal Andrew Tomlinson Inspires Students at Anzac Ceremony

Thank you to Corporal Andrew Tomlinson for joining us this term at our College Anzac Day ceremony, which was held on Wednesday, 4 May.

Corporal Tomlinson spoke about the importance of Anzac Day as students and staff remembered those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect others. He also shared some of his experiences as an active soldier during his 18-year career with the army.

Corporal Tomlinson is a RAMAE Mechanic, currently seconded to the Erebus Supercars Motorsport Team, and has been posted to a wide range of units within the Australian Defence Force. Some of these include engineering and construction units, special forces units and a posting to the HMAS Adelaide, the biggest ship in the Royal Australian Navy.

During his career, he also completed several deployments, including one to Afghanistan.

After the ceremony, Corporal Tomlinson took time to answer questions and speak to our Year 11 cohort. Thank you, Corporal Tomlinson, for sharing your experiences and inspiring our students.
