Cookies and Casuals for CatholicCare

A huge thank-you for the wonderful support from our staff and students for our first Cookies and Casuals for CatholicCare, which was held on Friday the 12 June.

For the cost of a gold coin donation, our students were able to dress in casual clothing and purchase a cookie, made by Mrs Ritchie’s Hospitality students.

Since 2003, Catholic schools within the Bunbury Diocese have been raising funds for CatholicCare by holding casual dress days for their students. To date, over $260 000 has been donated, making a huge difference to the disadvantaged in our local communities.

Our students and staff enjoyed the opportunity to wear casuals to school, and the cookies were delicious. Participation in events like these is also about living out some of the Mercy values – Compassion, Justice and Respect.

We are very pleased that The College raised over $730, on the day, which will be donated to St Vinnies.

We are hoping that we can make this event a tradition at the College.
