Construction Training Fund Scholarships for our Year 10 Students

Congratulations to the following Year 10 Students for receiving a Construction Training Fund (CTF) Scholarship to assist in furthering their studies in 2022.

The Scholarship recipients for 2022 are:

Certificate II in Building and Construction (Pathway-Trades):

  • Jake Baggetta

  • Owen Cluning

  • Erin Emerson

  • Jordan Italiano

  • Noah Taylor

  • Logan Roennfeldt

Logan Roennfeldt was awarded a scholarship but he has been offered an Apprenticeship which he has accepted; an excellent result.

Students attended interviews with Construction Training Fund representatives where they explained why they wanted to be considered for a CTF Scholarship.

They will be attending training at Bunbury Regional Trade Training Centre in Year 11 and 12 to complete their certificate courses.

There are a broad range of benefits associated with the CTF Scholarship program including:

• Tuition, RTO enrolment and resources costs

• Safety equipment and clothing

• Work experience

• Regular mentoring by onsite mentors

• Specialist workshops and excursions

• Advice about career pathways

• Meetings with industry employers

The scholarships are designed to assist students in progressing their careers within the Building and Construction sector in a broad range of employment opportunities.

Head of Learning Area - Career Services/Vocational Education & Training, Mr Dale Briers has worked tirelessly in providing this opportunity to our students. He mentored and prepped the students so that they were well prepared for their interview. We also are indebted to Mrs Wilson who has worked behind the scene to make all this happen.

I look forward to seeing and hearing of great opportunities that will come the way of our students in 2022. Congratulations and well done.

Mrs Louise Branson, Head of Year 10
