This special week, observed during the week surrounding 21 March, the UN International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, is a time for embracing inclusivity, respect, and belonging for every Australian. From the traditions of our First Nations peoples to the diverse backgrounds of our newest migrants, Harmony Week recognises and cherishes the richness of our cultural tapestry.
On Tuesday, 19 March, we fused our Harmony Week festivities with the inaugural Frayne House Assembly, symbolising unity through the event's signature orange colour, reflecting our Frayne House identity.
Frayne leaders presented the below video at assembly, highlighting the cultural diversity amongst staff and students at our College.
Well done to our Media students and in particular, Liliy Budge, for her fantastic directing and editing skills.
Throughout recess and lunch there was music and fun activities for all students, with Frayne leaders handing out iceypoles. Additionally, our Hospitality students crafted delicious grazing platters for our staff.
Let us continue nurturing harmony within our College community, embracing and celebrating our differences.
