Be the Reason Someone Smiles: Bring in a Can

Our Lady of Mercy College is proud to be coordinating the 'Tinnies for Vinnies' campaign again this year.

The Mercy Justice Team will be visiting PCGs in Weeks 8 and 9 to remind students to donate at least one non-perishable food item for local families who are struggling financially this winter.

Did you know that if every student at the College donated just ONE food item, then we would have about 950 cans of food to donate to Vinnies?

Some examples of non-perishable food items include: baked beans, spaghetti, pasta and pasta sauce, tuna and soup.

Please make sure that all items are unopened and within their use by/best before date.

The Year 12 leaders are keen to improve on the number of items donated by previous graduating classes and have come up with a plan. We are looking forward to seeing how much they manage to gather.

All donated items will be shared between the Australind, Harvey and Collie Conferences.

So, let’s show the Mercy Value of Compassion this winter.
