On Wednesday, 20 April, our College gathered to honour the significance of April 25 — a National Day of Remembrance.
Our assembly, led by our Student Leaders, began with the Acknowledgement of Country, followed by Toby and Bonnie’s presentation of the Anzac Requiem, paying tribute to the courage and sacrifice of Australians who served and died in war.
College Captains Olivia and Daniel delivered a powerful address, reflecting on the enduring legacy of Anzac Day. Olivia, speaking from the perspective of a 17-year-old, shared her respect for the young ANZAC soldiers at Gallipoli and highlighted the values they lived by — courage, honour, endurance, initiative, discipline, and mateship — values that continue to shape our national identity.
Gabriel and Grace laid the wreath, symbolising our collective gratitude. Emmasyn then recited The Ode, followed by The Last Post and a minute of silence. The ceremony concluded with The Rouse.

Following the commemorative part of the assembly, we celebrated student achievement, presenting College Colours in the areas of Academic, Community, and Faith, as well as College Honours for students who earned colours across all three categories.
