Aliens, Superheroes and Harry Potter

Our Year 8 Music students were immersed in the world of film music at the West Australian Symphony Orchestra’s Art of the Score concert held at the Perth Convention Centre on Friday, 13 June.

The performance celebrated highlights from the iconic soundtracks of John Williams, bringing some of cinema’s most legendary moments to life. Including music from E.T., Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Schindler’s List, Star Wars and Superman.

Hosted by Art of the Score podcasters Dan Golding and Andrew Pogson, and conducted by Nicholas Buc, the experience taught the students how music shapes stories and creates unforgettable characters.

What a fantastic opportunity to learn through the magic of live music.
