Course Description
This course explores the cultural significance of food and its role in shaping family traditions and identity. Students examine their own cultural heritage through the dishes they prepare and share, developing an appreciation for the stories and values embedded in family meals. The course also investigates Indigenous ingredients and culinary practices, providing opportunities to creatively fuse traditional foods with modern Australian cuisine. Through hands-on cooking and research, students gain a deeper understanding of how food reflects culture, history, and community.
