The College’s Retreat Program provides students with opportunities to come together and explore important topics such as wellbeing, relationships, character strengths, and social justice.
In Week 3 of Term 1, our Year 11 students participated in their Retreat, "Respectful Relationships for Men and Women," which focused on the challenges young people face in navigating relationships and societal expectations.
Facilitated by David and Katie Kobler from Your Choicez, the Retreat encouraged students to reflect on respect, communication, consent, and the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships. David and Katie, connected strongly with students, creating an engaging experience.
“Year 11 Retreat taught us so much valuable information about relationships. We really enjoyed learning about the importance of consent and the signs of a healthy and unhealthy relationship, that will undoubtedly be of great relevance and importance to all of the Year 11 students now and in the future.” – Charlotte and Veatriki
“The purpose of the Retreat is to inform us about respectful relationships and what we should do and shouldn’t be doing. It shows us how we should treat each other in a relationship.” – Lachlan Buswell
“The Retreat was packed with activities that pushed us out of our comfort zones, encouraging us to open up and build trust with each other. We learnt so much about communication and the importance of supporting each other through thick and thin. It wasn't just about romantic relationships but about friendships and teamwork too.” – Kai Bateman
