In the first half of Term 4, a group of our Year 10 students participated in the Stephen Michael Rising Leaders Pilot Program. This innovative program combines sport and leadership development to equip students with valuable life and interpersonal skills through engaging practical and theoretical activities.
Each week, students explored key topics such as communication, teamwork, leadership, wellbeing, and emotional regulation. They also enjoyed 'Culture through Sports' sessions, applying their newfound skills in various sporting activities.
The Stephen Michael Rising Leaders program was such an inspirational program. Everyone came out of each session with something good to say about it and a bigger mindset to improve as a person. Kiara Lawty
A special highlight was the visit from Paul Mugambwa, CEO of the Stephen Michael Foundation, who led an inclusive session that challenged and inspired students to broaden their perspectives and embrace diversity.
We are grateful to the Stephen Michael Foundation team for this opportunity and delivering the program in a very engaging way. Our students thoroughly enjoyed the program and gained skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom.
