Try-A-Trade Program Opens Doors to Construction Career Paths

Last week, 15 students from Years 9 – 11 participated in a 3-day Bricklaying and Carpentry Try-a-Trade through SkillHire. Under the guidance of skilled lecturers Blair and Ryan and within the well-equipped training facility of Bunbury Regional Trade Training Centre in Eaton, the students enhanced their skills, discovered new talents, and gained valuable insights into the opportunities within the construction industry.

The Try-a-Trade experience not only fosters hands-on learning but also opens doors to promising future career paths.

Students in Years 11 and 12 can study a range of Building and Construction courses. These courses are provided by Bunbury Regional Trade Training Centre and South Regional TAFE. For more information, please contact Ms Chloe Gunson from our Career Services Team.

We would like to thank Justine Wright and the amazing team at SkillHire for their dedicated efforts in providing our students with such a wonderful opportunity.
