Read House Claims First-Ever Mercy Games Victory!

On Tuesday, 4 March, our students gathered for the annual Mercy Games, a fun day filled with friendly competition, teamwork, and House spirit. The six Houses battled it out across a series of activities, including Leader Ball, Duster Hockey, Egg and Spoon, and Tunnel Ball.

Our Year 12 student leaders brought energy and enthusiasm, dressing in costumes and encouraging their House members to give it their all. Their leadership helped bring a strong sense of camaraderie and friendly rivalry throughout the day.

In an exciting outcome, Read House secured their first-ever Mercy Games victory. Overjoyed by their unexpected win, the Read House Captains were caught off guard when it came time for a victory speech.

After receiving the well-deserved shield, acting Head of House Mrs Tooth tried to call Mrs Johnstone to tell her off the fantastic news.

Read House Captain Ruby Fysche shared: "It was such a fun day at the Mercy Games. It was great to see everyone come together, give it their best, and just have a great time. I am so proud of Read for winning!"

A huge congratulations to Read House and well done to all students who participated, making the day a celebration of House spirit and teamwork.
