Our College Career Services Team recently took 15 students from Years 10, 11, and 12 to the Nursing and Midwifery event hosted by Edith Cowan University. During the event, the students were provided with information about the medical pathways and courses on offer through ECU.
They engaged in hands-on activities, working with mannequins that simulated real-life functions such as coughing, screaming and vomiting, as well as health conditions like asthma. These interactive experiences not only allowed them to explore the practical aspects of these healthcare fields but also inspired a deeper understanding and appreciation for the complexities and responsibilities of nursing and midwifery.
The students who attended this opportunity commented very positively about their experience and assisted them with a greater understanding of the Nursing and Midwifery industry.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Melanie Jasper and the Edith Cowan University team for offering our students such a fantastic opportunity.
